Built in the style of a "Friesenkate", an old-style Friesian farm-worker's cottage, our house is easy to find and is situated in a quiet, no-exit street in the charming little fishing village of Greetsiel at the Leybucht, the bay just behind the dike.
This makes the house the ideal base for all the activities that make a holiday so unforgettable. You can walk to the harbour, the health oasis with its indoor swimming pool and sauna and the centre of the village in just a few minutes.

There, situated close together, you will find great little pubs, cafés and shops that invite the visitor to call in at or wander round in, and there's a supermarket as well. You can also buy freshly-caught fish each day at the local fishing cooperative.
A special holiday experience is a ferry-trip to the Eastern Friesian Islands just off the coast.
Other leisure activities such as walking, cycling, surfing or horseback riding are also available. Just a few streets from our house there is an adventure playground, a mini-golf court, an outside "boccia" (bowling) area and a beach volleyball field, which positively invites the whole family to play or just relax on. |
